A multipurpose, export terminal was inaugurated at Maku Free Trade Zone, located in West Azarbaijan Province, on Thursday.
The 12-hectar terminal took a year and $5 million to become operational. Earlier this week, the FTZ's airport was inaugurated after an airplane landed at it for the first time.
On hand for the inaugural of both projects was Akbar Torkan, the secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade Zones and President Hassan Rouhani's chief adviser, IRNA reported.
