East Azarbaijan Province accounts for $150 million of Iran’s $500 million worth of total chocolate exports to 60 countries, according to Industries, Mining and Trade Organization of the northwestern Iranian province. With an annual chocolate and confectionery production capacity of 300,000 tons, there are 76 production units active in East Azarbaijan with a workforce of 20,000 people, IRNA reported.
