East Azarbaijan Province exported more than 1.5 million tons of goods worth over $745 million to 97 countries from March to December 2015, which indicates a 1% increase in terms of volume and a 2% decline in value compared to last year’s similar period, according to the province’s Industries, Mining and Trade Organization. Close to 378,000 tons of commodities worth about $749 million were imported during the same period, which registered a 3% increase in volume and a 29% drop in value, Mehr News Agency reported.
