Islamic clothing such as women’s manteaus constitute the lion’s share of Iran’s apparel exports to Arab countries, according to the head of Clothing Retailers Union. Iran-made suits and garments for women and baby clothes also enjoy a booming market in Persian Gulf littoral states and other countries, ISNA quoted Abolqasem Shirazi as saying. He also noted that recent tensions in relations with Saudi Arabia and Bahrain will have little effect on Iran’s apparel export market.
