Close to 50,000 tons of goods were exported from Sarakhs Special Economic Zone located in Khorasan Razavi Province from March to December 2015, indicating a tenfold surge compared to last year’s similar period, according to the SEZ’s managing director, Ahmad Sadeqi Golmakani.  The official did not mention the value of exports. Construction materials, clinker, light and heavy hydrocarbon, confectionary and chocolates, glue and color resins were among the main exports, IRNA reported. Sarakhs SEZ is situated on the International North-South Transport Corridor, connecting the Oman Sea and Persian Gulf to Central Asia, Commonwealth of Independent States and Russia.
