It is up to the government to decide on the future of Saudi-invested vegetable oil company Ladan in Iran, says the secretary of Vegetable Oil Association. Abolhassan Khalili added that among Iranian vegetable oil companies, only Ladan has a Saudi investor, although 90% of its personnel are Iranians. “The company holds 30% of Iran’s vegetable oil market share,” ISNA quoted Khalili as saying. His comments follow tensions rising recently between Tehran and Riyadh over the Saudi killing of top Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.
