CBI Releases List of Authorized Financial Institutions

Amid recent debates over unauthorized financial institutions operating across the country, the Central Bank of Iran on Saturday evening released a list of banks and institutions officially authorized by the bank. The list excludes one commercial bank and nine financial institutions.

Citing the central bank's statement, Eghtesad News reported that the list includes all "banks, financial institutes, and other institutions for which the bank has issued licenses for establishment and activity."

The institutions which are excluded in the CBI's list do not work under the central bank's supervision and the bank relieves itself of the responsibility for any possible damages that may be caused by the operation of such institutions.

Those excluded in the list are Ayandeh Bank and nine financial institutions including Samen Al-A'emmeh, Samen Al-Hojaj, Arman, Nour, Freshtegan, Mizan, Fazel, Mol-Al Movahedin, and Ferdosi, according to Eghtesad News.
