More than $1 billion are exported annually from Arvand Free Trade Zone, according to FTZ’s commercial director, Jabbar Salempour. He added that some 2.5 million tons of goods worth $760 million were exported from the southwestern zone during the eight-month period ending November 21, recording a 7% increase in volume and a 5% rise in value over the similar period of last year, IRNA reported. Construction materials such as cement, bricks, tiles and clinker; and foodstuff, including seafood, beverages and dairy products were Arvand zone’s main exports during the period.
