Iran and Afghanistan have signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate transit via border crossings. The MoU was signed in a meeting between transport officials of the two countries after two days of meetings held in Iran’s southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan Province on January 4-5, Mehr News Agency reported. Security of border areas and providing insurance, health and welfare services to truck drivers were among topics discussed in the meetings.
