Iranian Trade Expo in Kabul

Iran is scheduled to hold an exclusive trade exhibition in Kabul, Afghanistan, during March 1-4, 2016, to showcase the capabilities of Iranian businesses in the neighboring country. “Contracts worth $100 million are expected to be signed with Afghan businesses on the sidelines of the exhibition, which is organized by the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran,” manager of the event, Saeed Sadrzadeh, was quoted as saying by Mehr News Agency. He added that in the last such exhibition held about a year ago, the two countries signed $50 million worth of contracts. Iran currently exports $3 billion worth of goods to Afghanistan, accounting for 40% of the neighboring country’s total annual imports.
