Iran’s export customs clearance formalities now take one day to complete (excluding petrochemical exports), says the head of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration, Masoud Karbasian. He added that import clearance formalities are down to two days from the previous 26 days, which has led to a 24% to 26% reduction of costs, Mehr News Agency reported.

“Considering the $50-billion annual imports to the country, importers now see their costs have declined by $280,000,” he said.  “We are determined to reduce customs procedures for truck drivers to the shortest possible time.”
