More than 844,000 tons of goods worth $286 million were exported from Sistan-Baluchestan from March to October, which indicates a 36% rise in volume and 11% increase in value compared with the last year’s corresponding period. The province is in the southeast of Iran bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan, which accounted for 52% and 31% of the exports respectively, according to the provincial Industries, Mining and Trade Organization.
