No Police Clearance Needed

The government intends to eliminate the requirement for entrepreneurs to submit police clearance in the not-too-distant future, announced Justice Minister Mostafa Pourmohammadi on Tuesday. He viewed it as unethical to check people on possible criminal records at the start of their business. “It is time-consuming as well,” Pourmohammadi said, adding that it takes at least 10 days to obtain a police clearance, which runs counter to the government’s plans to improve business environment, Mehr News Agency reported.
