PTA Talks With Turks

An Iranian delegation is in Istanbul to discuss ways of developing economic cooperation between Iran and Turkey, IRNA reported on Wednesday.  Deputy chairman of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran Abotaleb Badri heads a 19-member delegation of Iranian businessman and trade officials on the Turkish trip. The group has met with members of the board of directors of MUSIAD (Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association of Turkey) to discuss the finalization of a preferential trade agreement that was signed in January during a visit to Tehran by the-then Turkish premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan. MUSIAD is a non-governmental, non-profit business association. It was established in 1990 and has more than 5,000 senior members and young members representing more than 15,000 companies that invest overall 5 billion US dollars per year in various projects.
