The Money and Credit Council rejected bid to give mortgages to journalists and artists, according to the Central Bank of Iran.
This is the second time the credit council, the body in charge of monetary policy, has turned down the CBI’s request to provide mortgages for media people. The central bank will appeal to the council for a third time. The request was denied due to conflict with laws regarding the control of supply in the housing market.
