Nuts, Dried Fruits Expo in Jan.

The Third International Exhibition on Nuts, Dried Fruits and Related Industries, IranNutex 2016, is scheduled for January 2-5, 2016, at Tehran’s International Fairground. Sponsored by Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, the exhibition aims to help promote the export of dried fruits and nuts since they are among Iran’s main non-oil exports. Up until now, 80 domestic and foreign producers have signed up for the event.  According to data from the Agricultural Jihad Ministry, Iran exported 180,262 tons of pistachios, 113,378 tons of raisins and 2,729 tons of almonds in the last Iranian year (ended March 20, 2015), Mehr News Agency reported.
