Gold importers will have to keep paying Value Added Tax, media reported. According to the Iranian National Tax Administration, a governmental panel ruled in favor of gold and jewelry imports remaining liable for VAT. The ruling followed complaints filed by gold importers. Iran Customs Administration started levying VAT on gold imports since November 2013.
