The first edition of Iran-Italy confab organized by the European House Ambrosetti—a major Italian consulting group founded in 1965—will be held in Tehran on April 18 and 19, 2016. The aim of this gathering is to create a platform for high-level meeting between Italian and Iranian business leaders and institutions, in order to revive and strengthen strategic, economic and political relations between Iran and Italy, Italian news agency AGI reported.  The European House-Ambrosetti aims to reestablish a friendly and cooperative relationship with Iran, with the creation of an annual event in the country at the highest level and on a continuing basis.  The ultimate aim is to establish over time a “community of leaders” able to interact, share visions and develop new and profitable partnership opportunities, according to AGI.  The confab will focus on major challenges for the development of business relations between the two countries.  The debate will pivot around a number of key issues, including the evolution of the banking and financial system, energy value chains, infrastructure and mobility, and the challenges and opportunities of the manufacturing sector, especially cars, machinery and equipment.
