Some 3.5 million tons of more than 400 commodities worth $1.23 billion were exported from Yazd over the past two years, says head of the province’s Industries, Mining and Trade Organization, Mohammad Reza Alamdar. Tiles, steel profiles, pistachios, cables, glass, molybdenum, plastic bag, glassware and ferro-molybdenum were the main exports shipped to 93 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Turkey, Georgia, India, Turkmenistan, Syria and the UAE, Mehr News Agency quoted the official as saying.
