Poultry Export Credits

The government will soon allocate 50 percent of the already approved credits for poultry exporters through the agriculture ministry, an official from the ministry announced in an interview with MNA on Tuesday.  The government had approved in August to allocate 500 billion rials to aviculture development fund to provide for the required finances and export costs. However, until now, the decision has not been implemented.  According to Reza Torkashvand, the agriculture ministry has followed up the case closely and as a result 50 percent of the credit will be transferred to the ministry upon the submission of poultry export finance plan to the market regulation committee. The export credit is intended to improve exporters’ competitiveness in international markets and make up for the absence of mechanisms to reduce finished costs of production.
