Norwegian Ties

Norway is keen to establish closer ties with Iran, said the European country’s ambassador to Iran, Norheim Aud Lise, in a meeting with Iranian officials in the city of Birjand, the capital of South Khorasan Province, on Monday. During the meeting, deputy governor of South Khorasan, Mohammad Hosseini, referred to the abundance of mineral reserves in the province, noting that mining industry could be an apppropriate area of cooperation with Norway. In 2014, trade between Iran and Norway stood at a meager $6.5 million.
