Some 5,400 tons of tilapia worth $24.5 million were imported during the seven-month period ending October 22, indicating a 700-ton rise compared to last year’s corresponding period, latest figures by the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration show. China and the UAE were the main exporters of the fish to Iran with 4,300 and 1,000 tons respectively. South Korea and Brazil each exported as little as 43 and 40 tons, ISNA reported.
