Iron Ore Processing Plants Planned in Aras FTZ

Two large iron ore processing plants will be built in Aras Free Trade Zone. Ebrahim Baqerzadeh, the deputy head of Aras Free Trade Zone, also said 15 mini oil refineries have been established there for the production of various oil products, including bitumen, Mehr News Agency reported. According to the official, other infrastructure development projects in the fields of water, electricity, telecommunications, gas and transportation are also underway in Aras. The FTZ is located in northwest Iran and shares borders with Armenia, Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
