SCI: Rural Inflation at 12.7%

The goods and services Consumer Price Index for rural areas in the 12-month period ending October 22, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Mehr, increased 12.7% compared with last year’s corresponding period, according to the latest report by the Statistical Center of Iran. The SCI had reported a 12.9% rural inflation for the preceding month of Shahrivar (ended September 22).The overall rural CPI (using 2011 as the base year) stood at 227.2 in Mehr, indicating a 0.1% growth compared with the previous month and a year-on-year increase of 10.3% compared with last year’s similar month.
