Central Bank: PPI Inflation Up 8.5%

The Producer Price Index in the 12-month period ending October 22, which marks the end of the Iranian month of Mehr, increased by 8.5% compared to last year’s corresponding period, according to the latest report by the Central Bank of Iran. A year-on-year increase of 4.5% was registered in the index compared with the similar month of last year. The PPI (using 2011 as the base year) stood at 216 in Mehr, indicating a 0.2% growth compared with the previous month, the CBI reported.
