The Conference on Finance and Foreign Investment in Iran is due to be held on November 8-9 at Tehran’s Shahid Beheshti University.

The Iranian Organization for Investment, Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industry Company, the Faculty of Entrepreneurship of the University of Tehran and the Supreme Council of Iran’s Free Zones are jointly organizing the two-day international event in collaboration with a number of domestic and foreign sponsors and financial institutions, Conferencecenter.ir reported.

Among the keynote speakers are Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ali Tayyebnia, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran’ Free Zones Akbar Torkan, President of OIETAI Mohammad Khazaei, Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Iran Ali Akbar Komijani, President of the Exchange and Securities Organization Mohammad Fetanat, Deputy Oil Minister Amirhossein Zamaninia, and Managing Director of Bank Sepah Seyyed Kamel Taqavinejad.

The conference aims to provide an appropriate forum for domestic and foreign participants to discuss investment strategies and explore new investment opportunities in Iran’s emerging market, amid the new economic climate following the nuclear agreement signed by Iran and the P5+1 group on July 14, 2015.

At the international level, the conference is mainly targeted at bankers, directors and managers of well-known banks, companies, financial corporations, export credit agencies, credit rating agencies, audit firms and other business communities from across the globe.

At the national level, owners and managers of business firms, banks, industries, insurance, capital market, stock exchanges and investment banks from both public and private sectors across the country will be taking part.

New perspectives on Iranian economy in the post-sanctions era, market dynamics and business development in Iran, scenarios for investment in Iran, new approaches to risk management of foreign investment, the role of banks, financial intermediaries, legal offices and accounting firms shaping merger and acquisition strategy, recognizing investment opportunities in industrial sectors, advantages of foreign investment in Iran’s free zones, exploring the capacities and requirements for investment in Tehran Stock Exchange, inducements based on tax system and legal support with focus on the Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Act have been mentioned as the central themes of the conference.
