Dates Earn $60m

More than 31,000 tons of dates worth over $60 million were exported to about 50 countries, during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21). The main export destinations were India, Turkey, Iraq, the UAE, Pakistan and China, which account for two-thirds of total exports. India, the biggest customer of Iran’s dates, purchased more than 5,000 tons during the six months, ISNA reported.
