Iranian FTZs Ripe for Investment

Iran’s free trade and economic zones have adequate infrastructures for attracting foreign investments. Juan Torrents, president of World Federation of Free and Special Economic Zones, also known as FEMOZA, made the statement on the sidelines of a conference on “Measures to improve the performance of free zones” held in Khorramshahr University of Marine Science and Technology on Monday, IRNA reported. Torrents recently visited a number of Iranian FTZs, including Aras Free Trade and Industrial Zone that joined FEMOZA back in March. The federation, which is a non-profit non-governmental organization based in Switzerland, aims to promote FTZs in developing countries.
