Transit Ties With Bulgaria

Bulgaria can be a gateway for export of Iranian products to European countries just as Iran could be a pathway for Bulgarian products to Middle East, Commonwealth of Independent States and other Asian states, said the head of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, Mohsen Jalalpour, in a meeting with Bulgarian Ambassador to Iran Christo Polendakov in Tehran on Sunday. He also announced that an Iranian delegation of experts in agriculture, floriculture and saffron production is scheduled to visit Bulgaria next year to assess avenues of mutual cooperation. Trade between Iran and Bulgaria last year increased by 213% compared with the previous year, making Bulgaria Iran’s 12th biggest trade partner in 2014.
