The Ministry of Agricultural Jihad is planning to increase butter production by exploiting unused capacities in dairy processing firms while improving the quality of raw materials, said the head of National Breeding Center and Promotion of Animal Products, Mohammad Reza Mollasalehi. “A lion’s share of domestic demand for butter is met through imports. This is while many domestic dairy processing factories are equipped with advanced machinery for butter production,” Mehr News Agency quoted the official as saying on Sunday.
