More than 12.5 million tons of goods worth $17.7 million were imported to Ardabil Province during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21), showing a 16% decrease in volume and 34% fall in value compared to last year’s corresponding period, according to the head of Ardabil Customs Bureau, Rasoul Saffarian. Rice, trucks and tire manufacturing raw materials constituted the bulk of imports, Mehr News Agency reported.
