A group of French investors paid a visit to Imam Khomeini Special Economic Zone on Tuesday to explore the economic advantages of investment in the largest port of the country. The delegation held meetings with the executives of Khuzestan Province’s Ports and Maritime Organization and discussed investment opportunities in container transport there, said the deputy head of the organization, Abutaleb Garaylou. The official added that the port is a frontrunner in attracting local and foreign investment. “Oil and raw sugar purification as well as oil transit are fields that have secured major investment up until now,” he said. The Imam Khomeini complex has the potential of turning into the largest service-providing center for ports and maritime services, IRNA quoted Garaylou as saying.
