Strong ties between Iran and Croatia should lead to expansion of bilateral economic relations, said Croatian Parliament Speaker Josip Leko, who is leading an economic delegation to Iran, in a visit to the city of Shiraz in Fars Province on Monday. “The visit is an opportunity for Croatia to closely assess the capacities in the ancient city of Shiraz and Fars Province, preparing the ground to expand mutual cooperation,” Leko said. Earlier on Saturday, the Croatian parliament speaker met with Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh in Tehran and the two sides discussed revival of a joint economic commission, resumption of banking ties and promotion of joint investment.
