More than 190,000 tons of commodities worth $60 million were exported via Bandar Lengeh Port in southern Hormozgan Province in the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21), showing a  13% increase in value compared to the similar period of a year before, said head of Bandar Lengeh Customs Bureau Safar Sheybani. Fruit and vegetable, dried fruit, plaster and industrial salt accounted for the majority of exports which were mainly destined for the United Arab Emirates, IRNA quoted the official as saying on Saturday. Meanwhile, more than 84,000 tons of goods valued at $218 million were imported through the port during the same six-month period, registering a 51% increase in value, the official added. Imports mostly came from China and the UAE and constituted auto, plywood and wood fibers, beans, computer accessories, fabrics and home appliances.
