Tehran to Host Int’l Transport Conference

India’s Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Jairam Gadkari, head of Swiss Department of Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications, Doris Leuthard, and Secretary General of Intergovernmental Organization for International Carriage by Rail François Davenne are scheduled to address an international conference on Iran’s investment opportunities in transportation, housing and urban development, which is due to be held in Tehran on October 3-4. The event, organized by Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, is aimed at proposing 121 major infrastructure projects in need of an estimated $25 billion to domestic and foreign investors, IRNA reported.
