About 2.8 million tons of goods worth $1.4 billion were exported to Iraq via Parviz Khan and Khosravi border terminals in Qasr-e-Shirin County, Kermanshah Province, during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21), announced deputy governor of Qasr-e-Shirin Nematollah Nazparvardeh. According to the official, the main exports included Portland cement, cakes and biscuits, air conditioners, tomatoes and tomato paste, watermelons, dairy products, fruit and vegetable and building materials. Qasr-e-Shirin shares more than 186 kilometers of border with Iraq. Parviz Khan and Khosravi border terminals are located along this extensive border, with the former being the country’s largest hub for exports to Iraq accounting for 54% of total annual non-oil exports to the neighboring country.
