The goods and services Consumer Price Index for urban areas increased 13.6% in the 12-month period ending September 22 compared to the same period of last year, according to the latest report by Statistical Center of Iran. The inflation rate fell 0.2% compared to the previous month’s corresponding period. A year-on-year increase of 11.6% was registered in the index compared with the similar month of last year, up from the preceding month when an 11.5% increase was recorded. The overall CPI (using 2011 as the base year) stood at 216.8 in this period, indicating a 0.9% growth compared with the previous month, the SCI reported.
