The first five months of the current Iranian year (started March 21) saw the imports of sunglasses worth more than $690,000. China has been the top exporter of sunglasses to Iran by sending 23.5 tons of sunglasses worth $255,000. This is while Italy comes in close second by exporting only 3 tons worth $230,000. The value of sunglasses imported from Italy has been far higher than those of the East Asian country. Germany, Austria, the UAE, Turkey, and Hong Kong were other exporters of the popular accessory to Iran, ISNA reported.
