Iran’s flower exports have failed to live up to its potential, says head of Flower Producers Association. “Although Iran ranks 17th in global flower production, it ranks 107th in exports,” Eghtesad News quoted Gholamhossein Soltan-Mohammadi as saying on Monday. According to the official, out of 3 billion flowers produced in the country annually, only $200 million worth is exported. He referred to traditional methods of production, high production costs and lack of proper marketing and promotion as the main reasons impeding exports.
