Chicken, Egg Export to Russia “Uneconomical”

Attempting to export chicken and eggs to Russia is a mistake, says the chairman of the Union of Egg Laying Hens of Tehran. “Transportation costs and the significant distance, coupled with Russia’s meager demand for chicken and eggs, render chicken and egg export to the country uneconomical,” Mehr News Agency quoted Nasser Nabipour as saying. He emphasized that exporters must focus solely on Iraq and Afghanistan, which are ideal for Iranian chickens and eggs due to their high demand.
