Thai Ties

In a meeting between Thai Ambassador Ramsee Chittham and head of Shiraz Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Fereydoun Forghani in the capital of Fars Province on Tuesday, the two sides discussed ways to expand trade ties. “Thailand considers Iran as the gateway to the Middle East and Thai trade delegations will soon visit Iran to discuss cooperation and trade in oil and gas sectors,” IRNA quoted Chittham as saying. He added that Thailand also seeks to cooperate with Iran in scientific and academic fields such as nanoscience.
Forghani, for his part, welcomed the prospect of closer ties with Thailand and pointed to Fars Province’s investment potential.
