More than 5.25 million tons of oil and non-oil goods crossed Iran’s borders during the first 5 months of the current year (started March 21), said the director general of Transit and Border Terminals Bureau. The transit of 2.61 million tons of oil goods and 2.64 million tons of non-oil commodities was recorded over the period, similar to the corresponding period last year, Mohammadjavad Atrchian added. Parvizkhan, Bandarabbas, Bashmaq, Bazargan and Lotfabad were the most active border terminals in terms of incoming transit while Imam Khomeini Port, Bandarabbas, Lotfabad, Bazagan and Sarakhs were busiest in outgoing transit, IRNA quoted him as saying.
