Iran is considering the possibility of exporting dairy products to Russia, and has sent a team of marketing experts to investigate the potential market demand there, Mohammadreza Esmaeeli, a dairy products union executive told MNA. On August 7, Moscow imposed a ban on food imports from the United States, the European Union, Canada, Australia and Norway in response to economic sanctions imposed on Russia over the crisis in Ukraine. Iranian exporters then announced their readiness for filling the void in the Russian market.
