PPI Inflation at 10.2%

The Central Bank of Iran has reported a 10.2% increase in the Producer Price Index in the 12-month period ending August 22, which marks the end of the fifth Iranian month Mordad, compared to the same period last year. The figure indicates a 5.6% increase compared with the similar month of the previous year. The PPI index (using 2011 as the base year) stood at 216.1 during the month, indicating a rise of 0.8% compared with the previous month, IRNA reported.
