N. Khorasan Industrial Exports

Some 97,000 tons of industrial products valued at $8 million were exported from North Khorasan Province during the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), indicating an increase of 34.5% in volume and 42.5% in value over the previous year’s corresponding period, Mehr News Agency quoted head of the province’s Industries, Mining and Trade Organization, Yahya Nikdel as saying. According to the official, steel accounted for the highest value of industrial exports ($2.6 million), followed by plastic products ($2.5million) and cement ($2.4 million). Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan were the main export destinations.
