Construction of the country’s first international exhibition town was launched in Isfahan on Thursday in the presence of Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Isfahan Provincial Governor Rasoul Zargarpour. The two-phased project, which is described as one of the fundamental needs of Isfahan’s economic sector, will be built in an area of 22 hectares in eastern Isfahan. The first phase is expected to need 1,500 billion rials (about $50.15 million) to complete and commissioning is scheduled for September 2017.
