Ukraine’s Minister of Economy and Trade Aivaras Abromavičius accompanied by a trade delegation is scheduled to arrive in Tehran for a three-day visit on September 14 to expand bilateral trade ties after the lifting of sanctions. Ukraine is in dire need of increasing the exports of its industrial and agricultural products while Iran is looking for new oil deals with the European country, Eghtesad News reported. According to Islamic Republic of Iran’s Customs Administration, trade value between Iran and Ukraine stood at $233 million last Iranian year (ended March 20), with Iran exporting $32 million and importing $201 million worth of goods to and from Ukraine.
