Chicken, Eggs Exports to Iraq, Afghanistan Resume

The exports of chicken and eggs to Iraq and Afghanistan have resumed, announced deputy minister of agriculture for livestock production affairs. On July 20, Iraq and Afghanistan banned the import of chicken and eggs from Iran due to the outbreak of avian flu in some of Iran’s production facilities, but following Iran’s Veterinary Organization’s statement regarding the termination of the disease and the inspection of chicken production units by Iraq’s minister of agriculture, exports are now back on track and are expected to double, IRNA quoted Hassan Rokni as saying.
