Iran is interested in importing up to 3 million tons of grain from Ukraine, according to Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Oleksiy Pavlenko. The minister said that his ministry’s delegation would go to Iran on a working visit in September to discuss the terms of future supplies, Kiev-based Ukrainian news agency UNIAN reported. Ukraine’s Economic Development and Trade Ministry earlier said that the lifting of anti-Iran sanctions would open up prospects for shipments of Ukrainian farm produce to the country. The ministry projects a gross yield of grain crops in Ukraine in 2015 at 59.1 million tons against 63.9 million tons harvested last year.
