Iran is among the top 10 countries worldwide in terms of diversity of orchard products, and plans should be drawn up to fully exploit country’s vast potential, the deputy for Agricultural Jihad Ministry, Mohammad Ali Javadi said. As IRNA reported, Javadi underlined the need for attaining self-sufficiency in the agricultural sector and said agriculture methods should be developed in a far more effective way, moving away from traditional methods. The goal, he explained, can be achieved once productivity is enhanced through improved usage of water resources.
